Amazonia

Amazonia is a water attraction located in Bellewaerde Park, Belgium. Amazonia is located in the Mundo Amazonia theme area and was built by Swiss attraction builder Intamin. The runway design of this attraction has a number of unique elements and is therefore a prototype. Construction of the attraction cost more than 14 million euros.

Runway: The round boats, with a capacity of 8 persons, leave the station after they have been weighed. Then the boat goes up via a conveyor belt. Then the band slides down through a number of helices and straight pieces to end up in a water basin. Through a current the round boat arrives at a vertical lift that takes it to the top so that the second descent can start. After a short slip, the boat ends up in a halfpipe element and the ride ends in the last water basin that takes the boat towards the station building. When the boat arrives, the boat undergoes a free fall element in the dark before the boat is back at the station and the occupants can get off.
