The Archangel Michael Church is the parish church of the Ukrainian autocephal Orthodox Church, part of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of the Orthodox Church in Belgium and affiliated to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. The church building is located on the Hulshagenstraat in Genk, in the district Hoevenzavel, western of Waterschei. It was built in 1984 and inaugurated in 1986 and is a design by the architect-engineer Guido Walgraeve from Genk. The church, built in Byzantine style, has a special iconostasis. The services are held in Ukrainian.
