The Lindekapel is a pedestrian chapel at 67 Lindekapelstraat in Hoeselt. The chapel is located on the road from Hoeselt to Alt-Hoeselt, near the Wermbeek. Here was the neighborhood that was mentioned in 1275 as Linne, and in 1412 as Linde, hence the name of the chapel.

History: Originally it was the first site of the Kruisweg processies, which may have passed here since the 13th century. The processions from Hoeselt and from Romershoven came together here. In 1624 a chapel was mentioned at this place, dedicated to Our Lady under the Linden. In 1643 a statue of Maria Conservis der Kranken was already mentioned, which was worshipped in the chapel. This chapel was then owned by the sisters of the Saint Jacobs' house in Tongeren. In 1679 the first stone Lindekapel was built. Before that, there was probably a wooden building. The new chapel was built of marl stone and included only the choir of the present chapel and did not have a turret. In the chapel, Mass was allowed to be ordered. From 1781-1783 the chapel was considerably enlarged, but in 1798 it was rendered unusable by the French by demolishing the roof and windows. In 1801...
