Raven Castle (German: Burg Raaf or Burg Raaff) is the ruin of a donjon, located in the district of Berlotte, which belongs to the municipality of Eynatten of the Belgian municipality of Raeren, located near Stestertstraße.
History: Raaf Castle was a loan from the Our Lady Chapel in Aachen. Until about the middle of the 14th century this castle was probably owned by the Rave family. In 1380 a castle lord was mentioned for the first time, a Johann Krümmel, who also owned the Ruyf Castle in Hendrik-Kapelle. The Krümmels had it well in their possession, but then, by marriage, inheritance and sale, it was in the hands of several other families.
Building: The complex consists of a decaying 14th century donjon, built in sandstone blocks, and east of it two parallel elongated buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, which have changed considerably later. Between these two buildings the access road leads to the donjon, which used to be canal and could be reached via a drawbridge.
