About

The Christ Koningkerk is a church building located in the Belgian town of Laeken (Brussels-Capital Region), located on Stalkruidlaan 13.

History: In 1926 the Christ-King parish was founded. This was dependent on the parish of Strombeek-Bever, and served the faithful in the neighborhoods Mutsaard, Wannekouter and Koningslo. A church was built that was located on Paul Janson Street and dedicated to Christ King. This church was replaced by the present one, which was put into service in 1982 and was blessed in 1983. It is a sober, modernist church building in white stone, with a saw roof as the most striking feature. A tower is absent. The Christ-King parish is part of the parish unit Lake East.
