The Grain Market Church is a Protestant church building in Brussels, located on the New Grain Market 8. The church has a long history in Dutch-speaking Protestantism, and is used for Dutch-speaking worship services.

History: The Protestantism in Brussels had a long history, which dates back to the Reformation in the XVIth century. After a period of standstill, the Dutch Protestants were assigned the Augustine Church around 1816, the time of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. However, the interior of this church building was destroyed during the Belgian Uprising in 1830, as it saw a symbol of the hated Northern Dutch: The church was mainly used by Northern Dutch civil servants and soldiers. However, the Dutch-speaking Protestant congregation regrouped and could continue to exist, thanks to the religious freedom prevailing in the young Belgian state.
