The vault and chapel of Sint-Thibaut is located near Marcourt in the municipality of Rendeux in the Belgian province of Luxembourg. The religious building consists of two parts that are merged into a chapel. It is located on a high forested rock, the Mont Aigu, overlooking the valley of the Ourthe. In the vicinity of the chapel there is a well known as miraculous. In the period from the 11th to the 17th century a cult developed around the sacred Theobaldus of Provins. The chapel was built in the seventeenth century. On the west side of the hermit's house and chapel is a calvary mountain with foundations of the lost castle. A steep path from the Ourthe at the foot of the hill leads to the chapel and passes along the way the source of Sint-Thibaut. The chapel lies at an altitude of 380 meters above sea level.
History: Since the 11th century there stood on the rock a fortified castle of the tombs of Montaigu with a chapel dedicated to St. Thibaut, pilgrim and hermit who died in 1066 and was declared sacred in 1073.
