hôtel Le Plaza
The Hotel Le Plaza is a luxury hotel on Adolphe Maxlaan in the Belgian capital Brussels. The hotel came to the place of Winter Palace cinema. It opened its doors in 1930 and is thus the youngest so-called palace or classic luxury hotel in Brussels.
Architect Michel Polak used an art-deco style and would have been inspired by the Hôtel George-V in Paris, with a Louis XVI interior. Initially, a cinema room was integrated into the building, in a lush Spanish-Arab-Moor style. He closed the doors in 1985 and got a new position as a congress hall.
Today, Le Plaza is one of the last independent hotels in Brussels. In the 1990s a thorough renovation was undertaken to restore Le Plaza's original glory. The hotel has 190 rooms and suites over 7 floors.
