Church building
cathédrale Notre-Dame de Tournai
The Cathedral of Our Lady () is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tournai. She stands out because of her five equally high towers. This Romanesque cathedral was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.
She is dedicated to Our Lady. The Cathedral is one of the largest churches in Belgium with a length of 134 meters. Architecturally, it is one of the most important buildings in Belgium, a pioneering Romanesque forerunner with many elements that would celebrate in Gothic times.
Afterwards no one succeeded in matching the harmonious image with the five equally high towers.
