Begraafplaats van Ambly
The Cemetery of Ambly is a municipal cemetery in the Belgian village of Ambly, part of Nassogne. It is located on the Rue du Cimetière, 140 m south of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Saint-Jean. The cemetery has a rectangular ground plan and is surrounded by a natural stone wall. The entrance consists of a double gate between natural stone columns crowned with crosses.
On the right of the middle path are 8 graves of British killed from World War II. They were the crew of a Halifax III bomber on his way for a raid to Germany. They were shot on January 6, 1945. The graves are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and are registered under Ambly Communal Cemetery.
