The Holy Mary Mother of God is a church building in a southern district of the West Flemish town of Beernem, located on Sint-Hubertusstraat 3.
History: The area in question is located between the station and the Psychiatric Centre Sint-Amandus. Because this district became more and more inhabitants, in 1940 they decided to establish a parish. From 1941-1965 the church was located in an emergency church, which was located on the grounds of the N.V. Beernemse Tricotfabriek. From 1962-1965 they built a permanent church building, after the design of Arthur Degeyter. The parish of Holy Mother of God was dissolved with effect from 31 December 2024 and joined the parish of St.Amandus in Beernem. The parish church Mother of God in Beernem is on the day before the consecration of the notarial deed of sale withdrawn from worship and reduced to a profane and not unworthy use.
