The bridge at Beringen (BR25) is a bridge over the Albert Canal in the Belgian municipality of Beringen. The bridge is part of the regional road N29. The bridge will be replaced by a new higher and longer steel arch bridge in 2020-2021. This new bridge is placed about 50 meters more upstream compared to the old bridge.

First bridges: The first bridges were between Brugstraat and Commelo. This can also be clearly seen by the axis shift that the N29 makes at the crossroads with Commelo.

New arch bridge: Since the passage height and width under the old bridges of the Albert Canal form a bottleneck for inland navigation and as a result the capacity cannot increase further, it has been decided to increase all bridges over the canal to a free passage height of 9,10 meters. Furthermore, the canal is widened under all bridges. This makes it possible for inland waterway vessels with four layers of containers to sail safely and smoothly.
