Church building
The Don Boscokerk () is the parish church of the West Flemish town of Torhout, located on Don Bosco Square.
History: The parish was founded in 1958 following the growth of the population of this district, and in 1959 an emergency church was involved, to which a building of the Expo 58 was purchased in Brussels. In 1974 the first stone was laid for a definitive church and in 1976 the church was inaugurated. Architects were Aimé Pauwels and René De Deyne.
Building: It is a hall church in the style of post-war modernism, built in yellow brick and concrete on an irregular angular map. The church has a separate concrete tower. The church has some elongated stained glass windows by Jan Leenknecht, from 1997-2006. The church is detached on a central square.
