Kapel Lorette
The Chapel of Lorette of Chapel of Our Lady of Loreto is a chapel in the Flemish Ardennes on the southern slope of the Muziekberg, in the IJsmolenstraat near the Muziekbos in the Belgian Ronse. The chapel was built in 1676 by the pastor of Saint Martin's parish Christophe. The Le Tenre on land donated by farmer Hermes Haustraete. Thus the faithful could go to Mass on Sunday without having to go to Ronse. The brick chapel with sandstone pedestal is a rectangular building with a small choir. The saddle roof is covered with slate. During the French Revolution, the chapel was sold to a local farmer, who used the building as a barn. Some families bought the building from the farmer in the early 19th century. Since 1922, the building has been reopened. The annual Fiertel stops there and the annual novena of Mary Message (around March 25) is still held there. Since 1947, the chapel has been protected as a monument.
