The Artboretum of Mefferscheid is a tree park in the municipality of Baelen, in the Belgian province of Liège. The arboretum was founded in 1901 and started a second life in 2012 as "art arboretum": within the boundaries of the arboretum a number of works of art were exhibited.

The Artboretum is located in the Hertogenwoud, just west of the N68, near the place where the N620 (Rue de Hestreux) branch to the northwest.

1901: Arboretum: Between 1901 and 1905, the Water and Forest Service (l'Administration des Eaux et Forêts) set up a piece of the Hertogenwald as a test field to test the growth of various tree species. An area of 5 hectares was divided into 16 equal compartments. In these boxes various types of trees were planted, mostly conifers, from North America, Asia and Europe. After more than a century, two world wars and countless storms, many trees have defied the climate on the ground. They have become monumental trees.
