About

Buffalo Stadium, sometimes also known as the Buffalo Velodrome Stadium, is a former sports hall opened in 1922 in Montrouge, in the southern suburbs of Paris and destroyed in 1957. The Buffalo Stadium in Montrouge was located at the corner of current Carves Street and Avenue du Fort, not far from the Porte d'Orléans and the Paris cemetery in Bagneux. His name comes from the tours of Buffalo Bill's band, the Buffalo Bills Wild West, which enjoyed great success in France between 1889 and 1905.

It could host 20,000 spectators for football or rugby games and up to 50,000 for boxing games. Equipped with a cement cycling track, the enclosure also received minor cycling competitions. The stadium also hosted pre-war and post-war political meetings and served as an internment camp during World War II.
