Châlus-Chabrol Castle is a former 11th century castle, restored in the 17th century, situated in the French commune of Châlus in the Haute-Vienne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. He is known for his siege of 1199 led by Mercadier, during which Richard Cœur de Lion is mortally wounded by a tile of unchecked arbalete, from the dungeon, by Pierre Basile. The castle is partially protected from historical monuments.
