Murol Castle is located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Puy-de-Dôme. Built on a basaltic promontory at almost a thousand meters above sea level, it dominates the village of Murol. It was built from the 11th century and changed considerably in the 14th and 16th centuries.
