The castle of Termes (Termis en Occitan) is a cathar castle located in the department of Aude. In the heart of the Corbières limestone massif, Termes is about 40 kilometres southeast of Carcassonne. He is a candidate for the UNESCO heritage registration together with the city of Carcassonne, all the Royal Fortresses of Languedoc, the "Five Sons of Carcassonne" of which he is part with the castles of Aguilar, Peyrepertuse, Puilaurens, Quéribus and also with the castles of Montségur and Lastours.
