thermes de Vésone
The thermal baths of Vesone constitute a set of Roman public thermal establishments, scattered in the ancient city of Vesone, the present town of Périgueux (Dordogne). The excavations identify three of them: the spas of Godofre, those between the streets of Campniac and Vesone and those of La Calprenede. Archaeological discoveries and historical documents allow only partial studies of bathing practice in the city. However, the few results show that the thermal baths of Vesone were high places of life in the 1st and 2nd centuries.
