Mascarin, the botanical garden of La Réunion located in the upper part of Saint-Leu, is a botanical garden located on the old agricultural estate of the Chateauvieux family, at the place called "Les Colimaçons". The department became the owner of the site in 1987 and delegated its management to the National Botanical Conservatory of Mascarin. Since 2014, the Reunion Department has taken over the management of the garden and all activities related to the public and the management of collections.
