About

Gallo-Roman Theatre is a building of ancient performances whose ruins are located in the French commune of Châteaubleau, in the Île-de-France region. It is part of the larger context of a site that also includes several sanctuaries and houses. Built in the second century but abandoned at the end of the next century, it was searched several times from the 1950s. Its remains, like all those of the archaeological site, were protected as historical monuments in 1983.
