The former chapel Saint-Yves de Paris was a Catholic place of worship located on Rue Saint-Jacques in the current 5th arrondissement of Paris. This missing chapel should not be confused with the present Saint-Yves chapel in Paris, built in 1925 in the 14th arrondissement.
One year after the canonization of Saint Yves in 1347, the inhabitants of Paris decided to found a brotherhood of devotion to the new saint. Foulques de Chanac, bishop of Paris, approved the draft by letter of August 1348. The Brotherhood includes students and masters from the dioceses of Tréguier, Léon and Cornwall in Brittany. While waiting to build a new sanctuary, the confreres meet at the church of Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet. They acquire "a square and masure, seizing in Paris or small bridge in the Grand Street Saint Jacques, making the quince of the Rue des Noyers". The first stone of the chapel Saint-Yves was solemnly laid by King Jean Le Bon on May 30, 1352. This stone, preserved by the Bar Association of Paris, bears the following inscription: "Jehan by the grace of God the King of France founded this chapel and sat the prumierre...
