Tumulus de Vielle-Aubagnan

The tumulus of Vielle are funerary monuments located in the municipality of Vielle-Tursan, in the Landes department, in Gascony. They are dated approximately from the late 2nd century BC, to the second iron age. One of them, sheltering among other things the double burial of a man and a woman, delivered among other rich furniture two pieces bearing Iberian inscriptions, a unique discovery in this region, and a cotte of meshes, unique in France for this time.
