alignement de Rongouët
Rongouët's alignment is a megalithic alignment located at Nostang in the French department of Morbihan.
Location: This alignment is located in the south of the commune, 800 m west of Rongouët, in an unbuilt area.
History: Several menhirs of this alignment were broken in the 1870s and re-used in the construction of the church bell tower in Nostang. In 1881, Abbé Jean-François Luco had 23 menhirs, some laid down, others still trained.
Description: The alignment consists of about twenty granite menhirs, most of which are lying down. They extend about 200 m in length, with an overall orientation east-west (azimut 90°). The last menhirs, to the west, are now located in the vasière du Gouarde. Several ruined dolmens are visible 100 m east.
