Monument à Lazare Carnot

The monument to Lazare Carnot is a monument to Nolay in the French department of Côte-d'Or, raised by international public subscription in tribute to Lazare Carnot, a French officer and statesman. The latter, nicknamed the organizer of the victory or the great Carnot, had reorganized the French army at the Revolution and recorded Wattignies' victory. He was also one of the founders of the Polytechnic School in 1794 with Gaspard Monge.
