War memorial
monument aux morts de Champagne-sur-Loue
The monument to the dead of Champagne-sur-Loue is a monument dedicated to the dead of the wars 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 of Champagne-sur-Loue, a commune in the Jura region of Burgundy-Franche-Comté. He paid tribute, originally, to Léon Mesny de Boisseaux, the free-sniper of a company in the Jura (Armée des Vosges de Garibaldi) during the Franco-German war, massacred by the Badois on 20 November 1870 during one of the battles that preceded the Battle of Nuits en Côte d'Or.
