Archaeological site
Mons Seleucus is an ancient secondary agglomeration in the commune of La Bâtie-Montsaléon, in the French department of Hautes-Alpes (region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur). The site, of which no vestiges are visible in elevation, was partially studied in the early 19th century, but it has been the subject of rigorous investigations only since the 1970s. Thus its composition is gradually revealed: a large domus in the heart of the residential area, an important sanctuary with several temples, probable thermal baths and a necropolis form a complex at the crossroads of several ancient ways.
