About

The Upper Britain Botanical Park or former High Britain Floral Park, is a private park open to the public with an area of twenty-five hectares, located in Ille-et-Vilaine, ten kilometres north of the medieval city of Fougères. The park is part of the property of the Foltière in the middle of which forms a castle, the construction of which began in 1836. It includes 24 gardens designed from 1994 by the owner of the premises, Alain Jouno.

The thematic gardens feature more than 7,000 botanical species from all continents. Japanese-inspired gardens are particularly developed.
