The Abbey of Saint-Nicolas de Berteaucourt-les-Dames is located in Berteaucourt-les-Dames, in the department of the Somme. It was built in the late twelfth and early thirteenth centuries. It is in late Romanesque style. It is one of the last Romanesque buildings of Picardie built before the advent of Gothic.

History: The abbey church was in the Revolution transformed into a parish church and half-destructed in the early 19th century. Ranked on the first list of the Historic Monuments of 1840, it was restored under the Second Empire and at the beginning of the Third Republic by architect Edmond Duthoit who rebuilt a choir and the north side.

Description of the building: The plan of the present building is truncated by the disappearance of the original choir and transept, which represented half of the building, about 30 metres.

External: The western facade consists of three main elements:
