The Joinville viaduct is a highway bridge that allows the A4 motorway to cross the Marne at Joinville-le-Pont. In 1990, the project to expand the viaduct, designed to also receive traffic from the A86 motorway, was opposed by the municipality and several associations. This project is still carried out and in 2024 the residents complain about the noise nuisance and the absence of sound protection.
