The Musée des Arts et Métiers, or MuAM, is a museum of science and technology at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. Labelled "Museum of France" in 2002, it is a museum of the state under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Founded in 1794 on the basis of a proposal by Abbé Grégoire to the National Convention, the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers was originally an establishment designed to train technicians and engineers using demonstrations made from scientific and technical objects.

Although Cnam is now a major higher education and research institution, its museum retains all the machines, models, designs that have been used throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. He continues to enrich his collections, in particular with the National Mission for the Protection of Contemporary Scientific and Technical Heritage, entrusted to him since 2003 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. This site is served by Arts et Métiers Metro Station.
