Notre Dame Church is a parish Catholic church located in Vetheuil, Val-d'Oise. By its size, its double-collateral plan and its particularly rich and varied furniture, it stands out from the village churches of the French Vexin, because Vetheuil is in the Middle Ages a village of some importance. Through its architecture, including its primitive Gothic apse and its two Renaissance portals, Notre-Dame Church occupies a special place among the religious architecture of the region.

Its heritage value is recognized early on, and it is listed as a historic monument in 1840. The origins of the parish and church are not known, but we know a first mention of the end of the 11th century, and remains of a Romanesque bell tower of the first half of the 12th century still remain inside the current bell tower. Towards the end of the 12th century, the construction of a new choir was launched, and it was completed at the very beginning of the 13th century.

The bell tower was rebuilt in Gothic style during the same century. It is impossible to comment on the nave of that time. The western parts we see right now...
