carrière des Fusillés
The quarry of the Fusillés is the sandstone, located in the commune of Châteaubriant, in the Loire-Atlantique (at the time Loire-Inferior), where twenty-seven prisoners of the Camp of Choisel were shot by the Nazis on October 22, 1941 in retaliation for the death of Karl Hotz, a lieutenant-colonel (Oberstleutnant) of the German army.
