musée d'Ennery
Ennery Museum is a national museum, an annex to the Guimet Museum, located in Paris 59, avenue Foch in the 16th arrondissement. Consecrated to Asian art, he presented the collection of 7,000 objects gathered during the second half of the 19th century by Clémence d'Ennery (1823-1898), married in 1881 of the prolific novelist and playwright Adolphe d'Ennery.
The collection presented was started in 1859 by Josephine-Clémence Lecarpentier, widow Desgranges, from a family fonds of lacquer boxes and porcelains "blue-white", and was transferred, after his separation from his first husband, from their house on Rue de l'Échiquier in Paris in what was the "Villa Desgranges" avenue du Bois, a private hotel which he built from 1875 his lover and then second husband by architect Pierre-Joseph Olive.
