Château de Montmirail

The Château de Montmirail is a private monument located in the commune of Montmirail, in the department of Sarthe in the Pays de la Loire region. Dominating the landscape in the centre of the village of Montmirail, today the medieval village remains mainly the castle, transformed over the centuries. The castle was the subject of several inscriptions for historical monuments, in 1964, 1995 and 1996.

The site has hosted an older castle, but still cannot certify its exact location. The present castle seems to have been built in several phases.
