The church Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens is a Catholic place of worship located in the village of Gesté, a new commune of Beaupréau-en-Mauges (Maine-et-Loire). Reconstructed in the 19th century by Alfred Tessier, on the site of a church of the 15th century burned during the Vendée war, Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens was the object, at the beginning of the 21st century, of an arm of iron between the municipality of the commune, wishing to destroy the church to rebuild it, and an association bringing together part of the inhabitants, opposed to the project. Despite several legal remedies, demolition begins in June 2013. A new, modern-style church with the pre-existing bell tower was inaugurated on 23 December 2017.
