alignements de Kerzérho
Kerzerho (or Kerzerho) is an archaeological site located in the commune of Erdeven, in the French department of Morbihan. The entire site, fragmented between several megalithic alignments, stretches from west to east for about 2.70 km and includes about 1,100 menhirs.
History: Prosper Mérimée gave a long description in his book Notes d'un voyage dans l'Ouest de la France published in 1836. In 1852, Mérimée complained about the actions of the departmental administration which, during the construction of the departmental road linking Erdeven and Plouharnel, destroyed the western end of the alignment. The western end of the alignments is classified as historical monuments by the list of 1862 and in 1884 by Félix Gaillard, who will give a detailed description in 1892, restoration badly done according to Zacharie Le Rouzic.
