The Francis San Juan arenas are the arenas of Lunel, in the French department of Hérault. They can accommodate between 3,000 and more than 4,000 people. The arenas bear the name of the Lullois shaver Francis San Juan since 1986.

History: Built in 1861, rebuilt in 1981, they host bullfighting (Spanish races), mainly novilladas, but mainly, mostly, Camargua races. Thanks to its restructuring, the Lunel arenas will be able to expand their vocation and host concerts, shows and other events. The inauguration of this new arena is on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Restructuring: In December 2014, the city of Lunel launched a limited master's competition for the restructuring of the arenas to create an additional 1,000 seats and a roof that protects the spectators. The total capacity may vary between 3,500 and 5,000 places depending on the configuration and type of performance (tauromachie, concert, theatre, sporting events etc.) Three architectural firms responded to the competition: Jakob+MacFarlane, A+ Architecture and Jacques Ferrier Architects...
