Castle of Brézé

The castle of Brézé is a 16th century castle located on the homonymous commune, in the department of Maine-et-Loire, ten kilometers south of Saumur. The castle of Brézé is equipped with a troglodytic network located under the castle and in the ditches, comprising both parts of daily life (boulangerie, stable, magnanerie) and military (bridge-levis, round road). The castle has been classified as historical monuments since 6 March 1979.
