The National Monument of the Victory of the Marne is a memorial to the first battle of the Marne and perpetuates the memory of the soldiers who fought from September 6 to 12, 1914 during this battle of the First World War. Located in the municipality of Mondement-Montgivroux in the southwest of the Marne, nine kilometres from Sezanne, the site includes besides the national monument, a local museum, the church and the village cemetery, as well as the castle.
