refuge de Plan Glacier
Plan Glacier's refuge or Plan Glacier's refuge is a refuge on the French side of the Mont Blanc massif. It is a small wooden shelter built in 1991 and renovated in 2006. It is located at 2,680 metres above sea level, at the base of the southwest edge of the Tricot needle, near a flat of the Miage glacier (Plan Glacier).
It is accessible by a demanding hike. It crosses alpine pastures and ends in a high mountain landscape. Mountaineering races are possible at the start of the refuge.
In particular, it serves as a departure to the Metier ridge, the Miage domes, the Bionnassay needle and the Durier refuge.
