The viaduct de Monts is the bridge through which the railway line from Paris-Austerlitz to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean crosses the valley of Indre at kilometre 247+914 in the commune of Monts (Indre-et-Loire). At the time of its construction between 1845 and 1848, with its 59 milled arches, the viaduct is one of the longest bridges in France: 708 or 751 meters depending on the sources and its highest arches peak at 20 m.
