Corniche basque
The Basque Corniche (Euskal Erlaitza Basque) is a protected natural area located in the communes of Ciboure, Urrugne and Hendaye (Atlantic Pyrenees) on the Atlantic Ocean. Characterized by the presence of coastal cliffs composed of flysch, indented with coves and rocky spurs, this area of 445 hectares is covered by pastures for breeding, forest, wine and agricultural parcels, but also welcomes human activities that climate change and the evolution of the coast line put under pressure.
