parc animalier d'Auvergne
Auvergne Animal Park, founded in 1984, is a French zoological park. Located at 750 m altitude in the village of Ardes, within the Cézallier massif, in the department of Puy-de-Dôme, it extends over 45 hectares and houses 400 animals belonging to more than 65 different species. There are often rare and threatened animals:
of Africa: macaques de Barbarie (magot), lemurs crowned and red varis ; African cheetahs and lions; giraffes, Mhorr gazelles, pygmy hippos etc. Asian: gibbons with white hands; leopards of Love and snow panthers; dholes; bear of Tibet; Asian otters; binturong (chat bears); red pandas; pig deer, Thorold deer; Chinese gorals and takins; Prevost squirrels etc. other continents: pinches with white crest and Saimari; gluttons; etc. In 2022, the Auvergne Wildlife Park welcomed 105,000 visitors.
