Viaduct
viaduc de Malaunay
The Viaduct de Malaunay is a railway art work on the Paris-Saint-Lazare line in Le Havre, allowing the crossing of the Cailly valley on the territory of the commune of Malaunay, in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region. It is a straight viaduct, made of red bricks, of a length of 145 meters and a maximum height of 25 meters. It was built under the direction of Chief Engineer Joseph Locke, by contractors Mackensie and Brassey, on behalf of the Rouen au Havre Railway Company, which put it into service in 1847 when it opened to the operation of its homonymous railway line.
