monument des enfants du Rhône
To the children of the Rhône defenders of the Patria commonly known as Monument des enfants du Rhône is a monument to the dead dedicated to Lyon soldiers who died in the Franco-German war of 1870. It is located in Place du Général-Leclerc at the entrance of the Golden Head Park named "Porte des Enfants du Rhône" in Lyon, France. The sculpture was made by sculptor Étienne Pagny and was inaugurated on October 30, 1887.
