Saint-Michel de Carcassonne Cathedral is the mother church of the diocese of Carcassonne and Narbonne, in the department of Aude and the Occitanie region. Located in a former suburb of the city of Carcassonne, the bastide of Saint-Louis, this building of southern Gothic style replaced the cathedral of Saint-Nazaire-et-Saint-Celse, located in the heart of the city of Carcassonne, as episcopal seat in 1803.
