La Grive-Saint-Alban is a karst geomorphological area located in the commune of Saint-Alban-de-Roche, in the department of Isère. This place, which has long been exploited for its red clay, has been known since the 19th century for the richness of its diverse fossil deposit, distributed from the stratigraphic floor of the Bathonian until the Miocene era.
