Ermitage Sainte-Catherine de Baixas

The Hermitage Sainte-Catherine de Baixas is a sanctuary in the commune of Baixas in the Pyrénées-Orientales, France. Writings allow its construction to date in 1401. It would have been built to house a hermit who dedicated his time to prayer.

During the Revolution it was closed and its furniture transferred to the church of Baixas. The building was restored in 1960. Only the chapel is now open to the public twice a year.
